Price Memory Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Price Memory stores your price records on your device. Recording, searching and comparing prices work offline.

Data we store

The app stores the information you enter, including:

  • Product names
  • Prices
  • Quantity and unit
  • Store names
  • Purchase dates
  • Notes
  • Shop links you add
  • App preferences (currency and theme)

This information is stored locally on your device. Android may back up the database and preferences to your backup provider or transfer them to another device according to your system settings. CSV exports are stored in the location you select and may be shared by you.

To remove local records, delete them in the app or clear app storage in Android Settings. Uninstalling removes local app data; manage any system backups and exported files separately.

Network and accounts

Price Memory does not require an account and does not use its own server. Internet access is used only to load ads (in versions that show ads) and to open shop links you choose.

Data sharing

Price Memory does not send your purchase records to its own server or pass them to advertising requests. Android backup and user-selected CSV exports may copy records as described above. When you choose to open a shop link, your browser and the destination website receive that URL and may process data under their own privacy policies.

Advertising

Versions of Price Memory that show ads use Google AdMob to display a small banner on the Home and Insights screens. To show and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as the advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and how you interact with ads. This is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings.

The app does not include your recorded products, prices, stores or notes in its ad requests.

Export and import

When you use export or import, files are created or read only when you explicitly select a file through Android's system file picker.

Permissions

Price Memory does not request contacts, location, SMS, camera or storage permissions. Versions that show ads use the internet, network state and advertising ID permissions required by Google AdMob.

Security

Your data security also depends on the device security you use (device lock, encryption, backups).
