Bonjour Kids Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Bonjour Kids is a French learning app for children aged 4 to 12. It works fully offline and does not collect, send or share any personal data.

Data stored on the device

To save a child's learning progress, the app stores the following on the device only:

  • A nickname and age range chosen during setup
  • Lesson progress, stars, stickers and word review history
  • App settings (sound, slow speech, reduced motion)

This information never leaves the device. It is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so it is not copied to Google or any other provider.

A parent can delete all of it at any time in the app (Me > Parent area > Delete all data), by clearing app storage in Android Settings, or by uninstalling the app.

No accounts, internet or tracking

Bonjour Kids does not require an account and does not use a server. The app does not request internet access, so it cannot send data anywhere. It contains no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs that collect data.

No advertising

Bonjour Kids shows no ads, has no in-app purchases and does not use the advertising ID.

Speech

French words are spoken by the text-to-speech voice built into the device. The app passes only the French word or phrase being taught to that voice. It does not use the microphone or record audio.

Permissions

Bonjour Kids does not request contacts, location, camera, microphone, storage or internet permissions.

Children's privacy

Because the app collects no personal information, no personal information from children is collected, used or disclosed. The app is designed to meet the Google Play Families Policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
